serce

In Polish, "serce" (SAIRTS-ah) means heart. Each year, people in many countries celebrate Valentine's Day ("Walentynki"), and this holiday is increasingly popular in Poland.

The 14th of February attracts the interest of younger Poles who are keen to show affection for their better half with small gifts such as flowers ("kwiaty"), chocolates ("czekoladki") and Valentine's cards ("kartki").

Since the fall of The Iron Curtain, Poles have combined centuries of Eastern tradition ("tradycja") with a newfound interest in the Western ways of Valentine's Day.  Read the interesting story of how this holiday festival was imported to Poland.

Here at Piast Meats & Provisions you'll find Valentine's gifts inspired by the Old Country.  Choose from hand-selected gift baskets as well as imported Polish sweets and premium boxed chocolates.  Visit us online or see for yourself at one of our three stores
