How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated during checkout and is limited to services that provide a maximum 2 days of transit time. This includes 2-day air and sometimes ground options from UPS. The amount of boxes required is based on the total volume and weight of the items in your cart. The shipping cost generally ranges between $25 and $50 per box in the continental US. You will have the ability to see all available options and select the cheapest one. Sorry, we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.

How can I lower my shipping cost?

There is no getting around the fact that shipping perishable food across the country within 2 days can be expensive. Destinations near the northeast will see the lowest ground rates. If your order requires multiple boxes, try removing some items until it fits in 1 box. Alternatively, you can try adding more items until all boxes are completely filled. This will spread the shipping cost over more items so you get the most product for your money.

How do you ship perishable food safely?

We vacuum-pack all meat products and safely ship them in a free insulated cooler containing reusable frozen gel packs to maintain proper temperature and humidity. Depending on weather conditions, products may arrive either frozen or refrigerated. This is normal.

When will my order ship?

Scheduling perishable food shipments is tricky. Deliveries must be timed to arrive within 2 business days. We cannot ship over weekends or holidays to avoid losing transit time. Therefore we can only deliver on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, excluding holidays. We will do our best to honor the shipping date you select in your shopping cart. Occasionally, inclement weather or other issues may force us to push back your delivery date. If this happens we will contact you and give you the option to either postpone or cancel your order.

Will I receive a tracking number?

Yes, you will receive a tracking number by email when your order is shipped.

Can I pick a delivery time?

Unfortunately UPS does not provide an option for a delivery window for 2-Day Air and Ground shipments.

What if my package is lost, stolen, damaged, or spoiled due to delay?

Your order is automatically protected against all risks, including loss, theft, damage, and spoilage due to delay exceeding 2 calendar days of transit. You will have the option to have your order either refunded or reordered at no additional cost.

What is not covered by insurance?

Delays caused through no fault of UPS are not covered. This includes delays caused by incorrect or missing shipping information or the driver not being able to access the property (such as a security gate). Address changes typically result in a delay which will likely cause your order to exceed the maximum safe transit duration. Make sure your shipping address is 100% complete and correct.

Do you offer free samples?

We cannot ship free samples due to the cost of shipping, but we are happy to offer them in our stores!

Do you ship overseas?

Unfortunately not; we only ship to the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

How do I make changes to my order?

If you need to add or remove an item to your order, or correct the shipping address, contact us at info@piast.com immediately. Please note that we cannot change the shipping address once your order has shipped. If your change results in additional charges, you will receive an additional email with instructions on how to process payment.

What should I do if my order is a gift?

On the shopping cart page, open the "Gift message" section and enter a personal message for your recipient. We will print this message on the packing slip. Your recipient won't see any prices on the slip, and your billing name and address will appear as the sender of the gift.

How do I make a special request?

If you wish to provide special instructions for preparation or packaging, enter your comments in the "special instructions" box provided on the shopping cart page.

How do I enter delivery instructions?

If you wish to add special instructions for the delivery driver, enter your comments in the "Delivery instructions" section on the shopping cart page. Your request will be printed on the shipping label. Please note that it is up the the discretion of the delivery driver to honor your instructions.

Will cooking instructions be included?

Cooking instructions for kielbasa, pierogi, and stuffed cabbage will be included. If you need them again, click these links.

How can I check on the status of my order?

If you received an order confirmation email, we have your order and are working hard to get it shipped! If you still want to check the status of an order, email us at info@piast.com or call (888) PIAST-US. Shipping department hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. All voicemails will be promptly responded to.

What if there is a problem with my order?
