William from Linden, AL

Thank You Very Much! Pierogi, has been a family tradition for my family since I was a boy, 50 years ago. I remember the whole family coming for Thanksgiving, and the next day they would all come back to make Pierogi! Back then it was Grand Parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousions, and who ever showed up to help. We would make Kraut and Potato, Farmer Cheese and potato traditionally. One Year my Mother decided to try cheese, ham and potato. We all liked it, but Grand Pa, did not. LOL. Pierogi, are some of the best memories I have in life. Most of the people from 50 years ago are gone. I havve my Mothers "Cook Book" with hand written recipe for Pierogi. I have lived in many States across USA in my time, and usually find a crew of people to help make Pierogi, around the Holidays. This is a "Team" effort. somebody has to make dough, person to run the stove, peel potato, roll dough, cook fillings, and assemble Pierogi. Then we would boil, coat in "Crisco" and freeze until Christmas. Christmas Morning was when the family was back together to enjoy Pierogi and Kielbasa. Thank You again.
