These traditional homemade Polish Donuts ("pączki") are a delicious Polish treat that have become beloved worldwide! They are richer and denser than the typical American donut, making them incredibly indulgent. Stuffed with your choice of Fruit Jelly, Rose Hip Jam, Vanilla Pudding, or Pistachio Cream and coated with a sugar glaze or powdered sugar topping. Approximately 4 oz. each.
Pączki are more than just a dessert, they have a special place in Polish culture. Traditionally, they are eaten on Fat Thursday (“Tłusty Czwartek”), the Thursday before Lent begins. The idea is to indulge in rich foods before the fasting period of Lent.
